Kiersten Oderman Commits to Grand Canyon University

Kiersten Oderman, a center and left wing for the 19U St. Louis Lady Cyclones will be continuing her education and hockey career at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ in the upcoming 2019-20 school year.

Kiersten graduated Summa Cum Laude from Fort Zumwalt North High School where she was ranked at the top of her class and was involved in a multitude of activities and organizations including National Honor Society, The Leader in Me League, Student Council, and CAPS. Kiersten plans to major in Biology with an Emphasis in Pre-Medical Sciences.  

Kiersten played Varsity golf all four years of high school earning “All-Conference Player” each year. She also played roller hockey and soccer for her high school teams.

Kiersten started playing ice hockey for Twin Bridges Hockey Club when she was 5 years old. She went on to play for Duchesne High School, Francis Howell Central, and the Lady Cyclones.

GCU Women’s Ice Hockey is heading into its 3rd year of play. The team is a member of the Western Women’s Collegiate Hockey League (WWCHL) and competes in Division 1 of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). The GCU hockey coach, Natalie Rossi, was named WWCHL Coach of the Year last season. Two of Kiersten’s Cyclones teammates will be joining her in Phoenix – Faith Casola and Amber Yarbrough.
