FAQs

• Will my player keep this number throughout their time at LCHC?

Our goal is consistency, but overlaps may occur. If a change is needed in a

future season, you will be notified and we will handle accordingly.

• What if my player takes time off and returns?

We will try to reassign the same number if available, but it is not guaranteed.

• Who covers the cost if my player must change numbers later?

That expense is the family’s responsibility. Please plan for the possibility of purchasing new jerseys when necessary.

• Why even and odd numbers?

LCHC assigns even numbers to even birth years, and odd numbers to odd birth years, for organizational consistency.

• What do I need to order?

One black jersey with black socks and one green jersey with green socks.

• When will jerseys arrive?

Most teams will wear practice jerseys during Declaration Season.

We hope for game jerseys to arrive before the start of the regular season but that is not a guarantee.

• Are goalies able to have their own helmet and equipment colors?

Yes, we allow goalies to design their own helmets and equipment. While the color choices can be non Cyclones approved colors, there shall be no political statements, advertisements for political candidates or legislative laws added. Any questions on what is or isn't allowed should be directed to your age coordinator for clarification.

MISSOURI HOCKEY UNIFORM POLICY

RULE 207: UNIFORMS

The MAIHA - YD Executive Board reserves the right to approve the official colors of all teams playing in the

League. All players, on a team, must be dressed in similar color and design jerseys and socks. Goalies may wear

sweatpants of a similar color to team socks. Failure to have proper uniforms, during a league game, will result in

a minor penalty being assessed against the offending team and the offending player will be removed from the ice and

not allowed to return to the game until the infraction is corrected.

Each player will have a light uniform and a dark uniform with the players number clearly printed or sewn on the

back of the uniform. Numbers made of or affixed by tape will not be allowed. No duplication of numbers shall be

allowed by different players on the same team. Any player in violation of the rules regarding numbers will not be

allowed to participate in a league game until the infraction is corrected.

Home teams shall wear light jerseys and socks and visiting teams shall wear dark jerseys and socks. Any deviation

of a team’s use of light and dark jerseys and sock shall be agreed to by both coaches and reported to the referee prior

to the start of the game. The team failing to wear the proper uniform shall be assessed a minor penalty at the start of

the game. Home and away jersey rules shall not apply to house teams. Color similarities are bound to occur.

Accordingly, home teams are required to have available pullovers of a color which contrasts with that of their

regular jerseys, which must be worn at the direction of the referee(s), if they deem that the similarity of uniform

colors would lead to errors in officiating. Players numbers should be visible somewhere on the uniform (helmet,

sleeve or elsewhere), despite the wearing of the pullover. The penalty for failure of the home team to observe these

rules shall be an automatic bench minor assessed the offending team at the start of the game.
