Leasck Commits to McKendree University!

Beginning at age 8, Leasck was never far from hockey, she played year-round and it didn’t matter if it was roller or ice, in goal or as an outskater…. she was always playing. Through the years she collected a variety of honors including most valuable goalie (2009), multiple, regional and national championships in roller. Her ice experience is just as impressive, playing for many local high schools including Rockwood, Mehlville and was the number one netminder with her Lindbergh high school varsity team.  Naomi spent the 17/18 season playing with the Walpole Express Women’s Jr. Hockey club in Walpole, MA.

Leasck played seven years with the Cyclones from 09/10 to 15/16 seasons playing goal, forward and when needed on defense.  Whether she was scoring goals or frustrating shooters, she has a passion for the game and she always played a ‘spirited’ game. She broke more than a few sticks...which remnants ended up in her family’s vegetable garden as the coolest (and most expensive) tomato stakes ever.

Naomi parents Steve and Julia will have ample opportunities to see her play at Mckendree. Naomi will begin her studies in the fall of 2018 and will major in Entrepreneurship. Congratulations Naomi, the entire Cyclones Organization are both proud and happy for your accomplishments!
