2024 Spring League

Get ready for some fun competition this Spring. The St. Louis Lady Cyclones are hosting an eight week girls-only Spring League from April - May at our very own Centene Community Ice Center. This is open to all female players in the St. Louis area regardless of what club you played for in the Fall season. Games will be once a week and for 8U and up will have USA Hockey referees and score officials. All players will be given a spring jersey and we will have weekly awards for the best save, play, and celly.

Cost: The cost for our program is $300. However, there is a payment plan that allows you to pay $50 now to reserve your spot and the rest in April and May.

Sibling Discount: There is a sibling discount offered. First child is full price, all after that are $50 off. Use discount code SPRINGSIBLING when signing up your player(s).

When: Weekdays (Monday-Thursdays) starting April 3rd and ending May 23.  6U and 8U will generally be Tuesdays but a few weeks will be Mondays or Wednesdays due to ice availability. 10U, 12U, 14U and 16U/19U  players will be Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Final dates will be determined by how many players are signed up at each age level. Goalies will be Wednesdays nights. We will provide an update on dates in February.

Groups and teams:

6U (2018 and younger)

6U players will be grouped together. We will make even skilled teams of 6-9 players who will play 3 on 3 cross ice games using either goalies or pond hockey nets.

8U (2016 and 2017 birth years)

All 8U players will be grouped together. We will make even skilled teams of 9-12 players who will play 4 on 4 half ice games using either goalies or pond hockey nets.

10U Minors (2015 birth year)

If we have at least 20 players signed up in this birth year, these players will be grouped together into an "intro to full ice" type program. The focus of this group will be to slow the games down a bit so players are learning the rules and strategies of full ice hockey. Depending on interest we may also have a weekend clinic  for these players.

10U majors and older (2014 and older)

Players in these age groups will be grouped by skill and age, with the goal of making the teams as even as possible and giving every player a chance to be challenged. We plan to have the following age groups; 10U major, 12U, 14U and 16U/19U. While we prefer players  play in their age level, some may be asked to play above or below their age group or age groups may be combined depending on number of players registered or if we believe it would be best for that player.

Goalies

We did not forget about you! In addition to the games, we will once again have 3E Goaltending joining us to put on a weekly goalie skate every Wednesday.
